China automobile industry has used FDI for over 20 years.With the enlargement of the FDI scale,foreign invested enterprises of automobile industry have got remarkable market stutus and become the production and supply center of China automobile industry.Promoting the industrial growth by taking advantage of the effect brought by FDI has become the strategic choice of developing China automobile industry.After the entrance of foreign invested enterprises such as Honda,Nissan,Toyota,Guangzhou automobile industry which could be ignored from industrial statistics before has developed into one of the most important automobile production bases of China.FDI plays a vital role in promoting the growth of Guangzhou automobile industry.Thus, this dissertation researches on how to better use FDI to promote the development and growth of Guangzhou automobile industry by examing the influences of FDI on the growth of Guangzhou automobile industryThis dissertation,based on related theories of FDI and automobile industrial growth, analyzes how FDI influences the growth of automobile industry by adopting the "Porter-Dunning" model and considering the characteristics of automobile industrial chain.It also builds up a framework to analyze the influence of FDI on the growth of China automobile industry.Based on the framework,it analyzes the influence of the use of FDI on the growth of Guangzhou automobile industry by analyzing the input factors such as production factor, demand factor,enterprise strategy and organization structure,related and assisted industry.Then it examines the influence of FDI on the growth of Guangzhou automobile industry by analyzing the output factors of the use of FDI such as the payoff level,market competitive level, production capacity level and international trade level.Finally it has drawn a conclusion that using FDI has brought positive impact on promoting the growth of Guangzhou automobile industry.The key point is that Guangzhou should use FDI in a correct and reasonable manner and lead FDI to enhance the local industrial competitiveness.Finally to promot the growth of Guangzhou automobile industry should pay attention to the industrial upgrade,self-innovation, policy support,cooperation and communication,park construction,talent strategy,service support and product development ect...
