| Human resources (HR), the most important resource of an enterprise, is the most motile and active one among all the production elements in an enterprise. As business management theory developed, the theory of HR management has evolved as well. With a much lighter historical burden than state-owned enterprises, privately-run enterprises can be lightly equipped to participate in market competition by freely drawing on the successful management experience of other enterprises all around the world. In this sense, HR management of privately-run enterprises in China is mainly influenced by modern HR management theory in western countries.However, the present research in China often focus on investigating state-owned enterprises with foreign HR management theory and research is seldomly conducted from the perspective of medium-sized and small enterprises in our country, much less the research on HR management of shanxi businessmen against the background of oriental Confucianism. Therefore, this research finds its starting point at the conjunction of management theory of shanxi businessmen and the HR management of privately-run medium-sized and small enterprises in our country, aims at finding out problems in those business through positive and descriptive analyses, and proposes countermeasures helpful to the development of privately-run medium-sized and small enterprises in our country.This thesis analyzes HR management of shanxi businessmen by SWOT, so as to propose that at present period the privately-run medium-sized and small enterprises in our country should use as reference the western HR management theory, combine the traditional HR management thought of shanxi businessmen under confucian influence, and employ the HR management mode of the trinity of rule of man, rule of moral and rule of law. Thus, this research is exploring at a certain degree.The first chapter will begin from the development of privately-run medium-sized and small enterprises in our country and introduce the research background of HR management and its status quo both at home and abroad; in chapter 2, related concepts concerning HR management will be explained; in chapter 3, analyses will be conducted on the problems of HR management in privately-run medium-sized and small enterprises in our country in terms of the understanding of enterprise owners on HR management, the role of HR management sectors in the making of strategies, the evaluation of staff's achievements and the selection and training of talented people; in chapter 4, SWOT analyses will be made to further investigate the HR management thought of shanxi businessmen; in chapter 5, the author will draw on the HR management thought of shanxi businessmen and explain the meaning of the use of trinity management mode in privately-run medium-sized and small enterprises in our country to deal with the existing problems; chapter 6 is the concluding part of the thesis. The authors sincerely hope that this thesis is of some help to the development of HR management in privately-run medium-sized and small enterprises in our country. |
