After the second world war,the one hand,the world economy took on a trend toward globalization which showed internationalization of production, interchange,finance and technology development;the other hand,the trend of world economy regionalization has also been proceeding,so many regional economy cooperation were founded.In general,the regional economy cooperation is a kind of practice and exploration in part space-range of economic globalization and the meaning of time to the extent.Both of them are same in the orientation of development,because they all seek the freedom of economic dealing and unity in their respective section while their distinction only lie in their own space-range.The economic globalization inclines to mixture of global economy in more wide-ranging meaning,while the economic regionalization pays more attention to mixture of multilateral economy in a special region.Economic regionalization is a phase or component which the world economy tends towards globalization,especially for the most underdeveloped countries,it is a ladder of making for globalization and strategy in boosting up their status in the world to strength economic link in a region which can make them break away from economic dependence on the developed countries;however,some great nations high on regionalization to take a leading role in the world,which can help them exclude or keep other strong powers within limits,thereby strive for a advantaged status in global competition.From the fifties to mid-nineties in the twenty century,the regional economy cooperation has been increasingly developing,especially for the European Free Trade Union,NAFT and APEC.So far,the number of regional economy cooperation organizations have reached about 250 which have been announced to WTO and gone into effect.Since 2000,regional economy cooperation has beenaccelerative increasing.The rapid development of regional economy cooperation makes trade volume in a region rise sharply.From WTO statistics, in 2000,the trade volume in the European Union,NAFTA,ASEAN,South Common Market,and China-Europe Free Trade Area has taken up about 35 percent of global trade volume.By estimate,half global trade volume are completed among regional trade organizations.Nowadays,China has participated in some regional and second regional economy cooperation organizations,which is a necessary road to develop economy,strength overall capacity of the country and take a more active role in international affairs for China.However,in comparison with other country's flourishing regional cooperation,the course of regional economy cooperation is very slow and only lie in the beginning stage,also China is one of only several countries which have stronger economic capacity but don't participate in regular regional cooperation organizations.After joining in WTO,China takes a new step in participating in free trade agreement.With the negotiation on China-ASEAN Free Trade Area be started up,(CEPA) be signed between mainland and Hong Kong,mainland and Macao,the rhythm of signing free trade agreement between China and other countries be quickened,China is stepping a new phase on regional economy cooperation.In comparison with contemporary pattern,we can find that regional economy cooperation usually boost and deepen in progressing way;that the level of economic development has a direct link with the mixture degree of regional economy and the effect of regional economy cooperation;that in the occasion that it is difficult to reorganize temporarily a wide regional economy cooperation organization,second regional economy cooperation is just a kind of effective cooperation mode,and it is a developing trend in the future that transit sole mode to multiple mode.That China takes an active part in regional economy cooperation is a strategic choice but makeshift.In order to long-term development of economy, China must study a new approach of outside regional economy cooperation and explore it as soon as possible,and constitute a full-scale strategy of China's outside regional economy cooperation,and take a new substantial step in participating outside regional economy cooperation.As far as I am concerned, China's strategy of regional economy cooperation should be that China must break through the limit of zone to participate in intercontinental cooperation organizations on the ground of Asian area;in the guidelines of near to far,easy to difficulty,standing out emphases and step by step,construct a full-scale, bipartite as well as multilateral network of regional economy integration as soon as possible at the beginning of free trade area.
