Organizational Commitment(OC),an important concept in Organizational Behavior and human resources management(HRM),acts as a link between employees and the organization.Since OC exerts great influence on the working attitude and performance of employees,it plays a crucial role in the organization's survival and development. It is of profound theoretical value and practical significance to investigate the relationship between OC and job performance,as it can help us to get acquainted with the current situation of employees' OC,predict their job performance and assist enterprises with HRM by providing theoretical basis and guidance.Based on a review of previous studies in this respect, this thesis constructs the influence model of OC on job performance and advances the relevant theoretical hypothesis. After questionnaire surveys of 153 employees from enterprises, the statistics is processed with SPSS for analysis of variance, correlation analysis and regression analysis. Results show that ideal commitment, economic commitment and opportunity commitment have significant influence on task performance, and that affective commitment, economic commitment and opportunity commitment have a similar effect on contextual performance. Moreover, employees with different characters vary to some extent in OC and several dimensions of job performance. With the above research findings, the thesis looks ahead to future studies in this field and presents some suggestions on how to improve employees' OC,in the hope of giving useful guidance and effective impetus to the administration of Chinese enterprises.
