On the basis of summarized domestic and abroad articles, according to the survey of citizens in Liyi city of Shandong province, this paper found the main type of Chinese family tourism decision-making and studied carefully of the different family member' s participation in the sub-decision-making, the impact elements of the decision types and member' s influence, as well as compared differences of travel behavior between different family. Reliability tests, chi-square analysis, frequency distribution,cross-column table and other statistical methods are used.The results found that the most important type of decision-making of Chinese family is united-decision-making of husband and wife; tourism family-decision-making contains five stages:propose tourism, information gathering, compare travel lines, final decision and consumption. Couple' s age, education level, family income, travel experiences, family life cycle, whether or not take children and the children's age, gender are of significant correlation with the types of decision-making and family member' s influence in various stages of decision-making. According forgion study,this paper divided the decision-making stage into 18 sub-decisions, including decide departure date, whether or not taking children, information gathering, type of tourism, time of staying, budget, transportation, booking lodge, luggage, other activity before departure (medical insurance), the choice of destination, how long to stay in attractions, the choice of dining-hall, choice of accommodation, shopping expendiure, activities in destination and other activity. Husbands involved in the highest degrees in information gathering,transportation, accommodation booking, travel budget,the choice of destination and choice of accommodation;wives involved in the highest degrees in shopping and luggage. Children involved in the highest degree of choice of tourism activities, how long to stay in attractions, the choice of restaurants and scenic spot, the lowest participation is in the tourism budget. Participant of family members in different family life cycle in decision-making and tourism behaviors are different. Products could be improved and targeted marketing can be carried according to the different steps and sub-decisions. Finally, the paper discusses the lack of this research and the outlook.
