In our daily life, many output of decision-making is distributing in one or more point of time in the future. Intertemporal choice is to trade off costs and benefits at different points in time. There is no output of decision can exist without time. Traditional decision-making theories little consider the effect of the time distributing of output and the intertemporal preference, which can affect the decision. So they cannot explain intertemporal perfect. Recent years, many research pay attention to intertemporal choice, individual discount the output will happen in the future, in this process, exist individual difference. In the decision, sensation seeking is play very important role, but there is little research about intertemporal choice in the psychology field. So this article aims to validate the existing of intertemporal choice in Chinese, and study the relationship of the sensation seeking and intertemporal choiceThis study "The Experiment Research on the Relationship of Sensation Seeking and Intertemporal Choice", in the research design and experimental pattern, using the split the difference java program which just like psychophysics method. Using the man-machine conversation way to validate the existing of intertemporal choice in Chinese, and study the relationship of the sensation seeking and intertemporal choice. The experiment 1 uses the two-factor mixed design, trying to verify the time sequence effect, and to validate the existing of intertemporal choice in Chinese. The factor one is interval (two months, five months and eleven months); the factor two is gender (male and female). The results are: The interaction between interval and gender is not significant. The subjective discounting rate has significant differences in the interval, and the longer the time interval, the lower the discounting rate; the subjective discounting rate has not significant differences in the gender. The result shows that in the Chinese culture, the time sequence of intertemporal choice exists in Chinese, and there is no effect between gender and the time sequence of intertemporal choice. The experiment 2 uses the two-factor mixed design, trying to verify the magnitude sequence effect, and to validate the existing of intertemporal choice in Chinese, the factor one is amount (Y200yuan, Y500yuan,and Y1000yuan); The factor two is gender (male and female). The results are: The interaction between interval and gender is not significant. The subjective discounting rate has significant differences in the amount sequence. And the more the amount, the higher the discounting rate. The subjective discounting rate has not significant differences in the gender. The result shows that in the Chinese culture, the magnitude sequence of intertemporal choice exists in Chinese, and there is no effect between gender and the magnitude sequence of intertemporal choice. The experiment 3 uses the two-factor mixed design, the factor one is sensation seeking (the high score group and the low score group); the factor two is the condition of intertemporal choice (gain and loss), which trying to study the relationship of the sensation seeking and intertemporal choice. The results are: The interaction between sensation seeking and the condition of intertemporal choice is significant. The subjective discounting rate of the high score group has significant differences in the gain and loss, and in the gain condition there has the higher rate; and for the low score group, there is no significant differences between the two conditions.
