Research On China-Vietnam Agricultural Products Trade's Competition And Complementary

China & Vietnam are two neighboring countries which share the same mountains and rivers. In its development history,the diplomacy, the economic, the cultural and the trade relationship was built early.Agricultural products trade is an important cooperation field in the bilateral trade - economic. Since the beginning of this new century, the agricultural product trade has developed rapidly with big trade amount,high increment's rate,trade prospect is fine.Agricultural products trade and Agricultural cooperation is an forerun important item in the China-Asean FTA construction process.Vietnam likes the bridge between China and Asean.Agricultural product trade between China and Vietnam's plays an important role in the China and Asian Nations's agricultural product trade.Therefore,the development of Agricultural product trade between two countries can speed up CAFTA construction process.This thesis give overall remark on China and Vietnam Agricultural product trade's situation,focus on Agricultural product trade's competition & complementarity research.Author use Export Similarity Index,Revealed Comparative Advantage Index to analysis the competition degree in agricultural products trade field in the world market between this two countries.This thesis using the Trade Intensity Index,Trade Complementarity Index,3 kinds of Intra-Industry Trade Index to analysis the complementarity level in agricultural products trade between two countries.The results show that:In the Agricultural product trade field between China and Vietnam, although exported product is rather similar but comperatitive advantage product is not the same,this weaken competition degree. The results also show that: China and Vietnam has very close relationship on this trade field with high complementary level.It's meaningfull for China and Vietnam in developing agricultural product trade in the future.Finally,the author give some ideas in order to improve agricultural product trade's situation,to increase complementary and reduce competition level.
