Power grid planning project is an important part of the power transmission planning and construction, it calls for a comprehensive analysis of the project evaluation. In this paper it analyzes research background documents of the power grid planning project on the basis of network planning for the power grid planning project. Through various factors analysis of network planning project it builds a comprehensive evaluation index system. Using AHP and entropy method determines the grid planning the project index weight. And based on t improving neural network evaluation model, it introduces network planning project evaluation model. After analyzing the situation of power grid planning project in Handan, South of Hebei province in the region through the Handan Loushan, Junhe and Sundian, Lianfang, Chongzhou, Dazhai six project in the area to get empirical evaluation of the project. Combined with network planning project evaluation results, recommendation and measures related to power grid planning is proposed.
