Research On Actualization & Control Of Project Invested In China By GK

Multinational companies, who started to invest in China at the late of 1980s, were aiming at taking use of the local production elements or entering Chinese market at the initial period. After China's joining into WTO, the multinational companies, especially those first 500 companies in the world, were extremely active in investing in China. About 400 of them have built up cooperation or branches here. In order to be more competitive, they pushed ahead their localized strategy entirely on wide angles and various fields, bringing along their raw material suppliers'invests in China. That leads to the setting up many projects invested and built up by a large amount of raw material producers abroad. Since those projects involve multinational cooperation, thus there comes the difference among cultures of various countries, the difference on time and distance, and on requirements of customers. There are also otherness between these projects and the traditional ones. That resulted at the upper requirements on projects management, especially the managements on control of actualization. Usually, because the majority of those projects are managed at traditional way, there are series of problems in the running of program: some projects were completely failures, some were not completed on time, while some others were finished, but could not fulfill the requirements on time limits, costs and functions, and the budget were went beyond. Only several projects were accomplished within schedule and in budget.Projects management is applicable for factory building up projects in China invested by foreign raw material companies. Generally speaking, the related study in past is a decentralization. There are no rather systematically and entirely analysis conclusion on control of project's realization.To discuss effectively management measure on the actualization and control of factory building up projects, which locate at China and are invested by the foreign raw material companies, we take GK's project as a typical case, to arrive at workable management methods of the actualization and control of these projects, by systematically analysis and concluding practices, referencing mainly issued by The Chinese Projects Management and Research Committee.The typical case analysis method was made in use in this text. Basing on the theoretical system of project management, we analyzed GK's project in China, concluded problems needed to be taken care during the practice and control of this kind of projects. Below projects managements activities were mainly discussed:Scope management: how to judge the scope of project.Project management: how to set up project organization of those projects to deal with the various among different cultures.Project schedule: quality and costs schedule of project.Process control: observation at statues of project processing, processing warp and the way to adjust schedule to handle problems aroused by the customer's requirement various, reducing time limit of project maximally.Quality control: quality control procedure, quality audit and analysis.Cost control: using net value method to inspect and analyze the cost control of project.Risk control: risk analysis of project, designing on the avoiding of risk, emergency plan of risk and the supervising plan.By bringing forward management method of these projects though studying, using types of resources in practice effetely and reasonably, comparing the traditional management way, to enjoy the advantages of improved efficiency, saving man-hour and costs.The systematically conclusion on the management method aroused, can be a reference and guidance for the managements of correlated projects in the future, enjoying the value of popularization.
