A Positive Study On The Relation Between Hunan Province's Foreign Trade And Economic Growth

There have been diverse opinions about the impacts of foreign trade on the economic growth.With the globalization and regional integration of economy,the international trade trends more free.Meanwhile,the foreign elements gradually become the significant means of promoting economy and uplifting the welfare in a country or region.Both of China's foreign trade and economy have been increasing rapidly since the reform and opening up.Now,the exploitation of foreign trade is the important content and basic components of economic development in China. Therefore,grasping the relationship between foreign trade and economic development and formulating correct policies are significant to the improvement of foreign trade structure and the enhancement of its development.Based on the overall analysis of the impact of foreign trade on the mechanism of economic growth,this thesis takes the relation between foreign trade and economic growth as the object and chooses the export,import,GDP,investment an consumption as variables.Meanwhile,this thesis makes a regression test for Hunan's time series dates of the resent 20 years by using the way of Econometric Analysis.The results show that foreign trade plays a promoting role on the economic growth,but the contribution of foreign trade to the economic growth is less than consumption.So it is necessary to further increase the Hunan's foreign trade by all kinds of measures.The thesis is divided into five parts,and the following is the brief introduction of each part.The first part mainly introduces the background and significance of the subject in the thesis,the aim and approach of its research,the trend of the research home and abroad and the content,structure and the innovation of the thesis.The second part is the basic theories,which comprehensively reviews the theories of foreign trade and economic growth,consults excellent researches home and abroad and puts forward some mechanisms and conditions of improving economic growth in foreign trade.This part constitutes the theoretical basis of the thesis.The third part reviews the history of development of foreign trade and economic growth in Hunan Province and analyzes the contribution of foreign trade to the economy growth.The forth part makes a empirical researches on import,export,consumption,investment and the growth of economy and get a conclusion that the import and the export influence the growth of economy in Hunan greatly,especially the export.The last part, on the base of the forth part,putting forward suggestions about how to enforce the effect which the foreign trade on the growth of the economy in Hunan province by summarizing problem of the economic growth in Hunan province and combining the characteristics of foreign trade and the economy growth.
