The development of big cities and the mechanism of urban agglomeration effects have been drawing more and more attention from the world.Meanwhile,the development of the Yangtze River Delta,the Pearl River Delta and the Circum-Bohai-Sea Region has been also becoming the focus of the researchers in China.Recently some people even mentioned the development of the Big Yangtze River Delta and the Big Pearl River Delta.However,before the further development of the three regions,it is better to know more about their current situations.So the passage is going to make people know more information about them with the measurement of the agglomeration effects in the three regions.And then it analyzes the reasons leading to the results and recommends related suggestions.In the respect of the measurement of agglomeration effects,currently most of the researchers in our country only focused on the industry agglomeration effects or urban agglomeration effects.And few people made the researches about region agglomeration effects,especially the measurement of the agglomeration effects in the three regions in our country.So the passage tries to do some researches on the agglomeration effects of them through the learning of the researches in foreign documents.Firstly,after defining the agglomeration effects,the passage makes a review of the researches about the relationship between the agglomeration effects and urbanization,the relationship between the agglomeration effects and the economic development.And then the passage discusses some researches on the methods of the measurement of agglomeration effects made by foreign researchers and the uses of these methods by the researchers in our country.All of these provided groundwork for the establishment and estimation of model in next chapter.Secondly,the passage makes the measurement of agglomeration effects in the three regions with the Segal model and a new model.They make the measurement of urban agglomeration effects at first and discover that all of the three regions had obvious positive agglomeration effects.And the effects in the Pearl River Delta were most obvious and then the Yangtze River.And the effects in the Circum-Bohai-Sea Region were just a little smaller than the other two areas.After that,the passage adds another independent variable(market potential) to the model in order to make the measurement of region agglomeration effects in these three regions.And the results conclude that only the Pearl River Delta had slightly positive region agglomeration effects and there were almost no region agglomeration effects in the Circum-Bohai-Sea Region.Finally,the passage analyzes the influence factors leading to the differences in the three regions including the application of foreign direct investments,the development of financial environments,the construction of transportation facilities,the flow of labor resources and the innovation and spread of new skills.And the passage also provided some related suggestions such as the attraction of high-quality foreign direct investment,the cooperation of financial institutions and companies so that the three regions will have bigger region agglomeration effects and further development.
