Research On Industry Of Foreign R&D In China

R&D, as one of the most important carrier to create new idea, is the vital driving force for productivity. Nowadays, corporations play the outstanding role in global R&D. For a long time, almost all corporations in the developed countries treasure R&D activities, which traditionally set up R&D at home, especially the strategic R&D. In fact, TNCs' R&D globalization advances irresistibly. At present, both most developed countries and some developing countries are involved in TNC's global R&D system. The overseas R&D takes on different industries, and then their industries' spacial distribution and location choice differs.In this background, the thesis focus research on the TNCs' R&D center in China, starts with the industry types and uses various research methodologies including empirical study, case study and compare analysis to discuss the special distribution and location choice of the high-tech industries, for example, telecommunication equipment manufacture, medicine manufacture, transportation equipment manufacture, software and so on.In this thesis, all the examples are integrated into distinct features of the industry. This thesis discusses specific issues arisen in industry of TNCs' R&D in China, employs representative cases for explaining and stretching important argumentations, and summarizes current scattered viewpoints, and put forward the author's new opinion, thereby getting systematic and integrated conclusions. In addition, the whole thesis has precise demonstration, clear logic structure and fluent words, and also has some innovation and persuasion, striving to provide some reference to government and enterprises for drawing and adjusting policies and strategies.
