Study On The Development Of Fujian Tea Industrial Clusters

Under the conditions of economic globalization, the development of industrial cluster has become one of core competitiveness in the international economy. Regional industrial cluster not only becomes one of the important global economic development models, but also builds up the competitive power of a country or a region. The development of industrial cluster contributes more and more to many countries economies.Fujian tea industry is one of the special and competitive industries in agriculture. Currently Fujian tea industry is in a period of fast development, and at the same time it is in the transition phase from the traditional tea industry to the modern tea industry. The productivity level of overall tea industry is not high and the international competitiveness is not strong enough. Thus, to advance the modernization of Fujian tea industry, it is very necessary to introduce a new model of industrial development—industrial cluster. The development of tea industrial cluster may enhance the productivity level and the international competitiveness of Fujian tea industry and at the same time may promote rural economic development in Fujian province.First of all, this paper puts forward the keys on the basis of a summary on the domestic and international achievement about the relevant theoretical research. Under the guidance of theory and methodology of the industrial clusters, it clarifies the connotation, characteristics and structure of the tea industrial cluster. Secondly, the article analyses the development status, the support conditions and the existing problems of tea industrial cluster in Fujian. It adopts Location Quotient (LQ) indicator to measure the centralization degree of tea industrial clusters in Fujian, and has obtained relevant conclusions. Thirdly, based on the conclusions of empirical research, the paper gets the regional layout of the tea industrial cluster in Fujian, and explores three development models of the Fujian tea industrial cluster, namely: the leading enterprise-led, professional cooperation-led and focus-on-processing zones-promoted. Finally, for solving the existing problems of the tea industrial cluster in Fujian, the articles propose to make specialized development plan, promote the construction of eco-tea and standardized production base, develop and expand the leading enterprises, strengthen the regional brand of tea, perfect service system, improve product quality and breakthrough Green Ramparts. And we look forward to developing the tea industrial clusters in Fujian.
