This thesis mainly showed the general picture of food, the feed implements, cooking methods and culture in JingChu area during the pre-Qin period. Firstly it clarified the features of food ingredients and seasoning in JingChu and made the geographical decisive element clear. Then it restored the original state of feed implements in JingChu during pre-Qin period. Therefore we were able to find out the original state of cooking methods in JingChu area. Through an old typical feast we could easily to understand the old days dietary practices. According to this, to demonstrate the profound symbolic meanings to the readers about JingChu diet. On this basis, investigated the catering culture in JingChu area. Through the study of JingChu diet in pre-Qin period to profile great Chu culture.
