Studies On Land Use/Land Cover Of Wushan County Based On RS And GIS

In recent years,the study of LUCC(Land Use and Land Cover Change) has been a hot point in Geosciences.It is an important component Part of global environmental change and one of main causes result in global environmental change.In the last 10 years of 20th century,the land use and land cover of Wushan had changed under a Complex Background of the high economic development and the Three George project and many ecological projects were in progress.This study extracts the classification result from the TM image of 1990 and ETM+ image of 2000,and gets the area transfer matrix,based mainly on the technology of RS and GIS.And analyze the temporal and spatial characteristics and driving factor of LUCC in Wushan from 4 aspects, including quantity,composition,dynamic models and landscape index.The main contents was as follows:1,In 1990-2000,the land use intensity of wushan had strengthened;In landscape level,the fragmentation,evenness index,diversity index increased.2,The urban construction land increased dramatically;The orchard increased greatly,but its fragmentation is the highest;The vegetation condition changed for the better.3,In this 10 years,the ecological projects,the Three George Project,the Population Growth and the economic development are main driving forces of LUCC.This paper is a Typical Cases of LUCC in Ecologically Vulnerable Areas Under Complex Background,and a regional evidence for a larger spatial scale study,and also offers some suggestions for Sustainable Land Utilization and sustainable development of Wushan.
