The Study Of The General Situation Of The National Industrial Bank Of China

Because of the outbreak of World War I,the main focus of belligerent state turns to the war,there is no time for them to take China into account,which brought a relatively steady social environment to China which was suffering the huge disater,and won a favorable opportunity for the development and a short-term prosperity of national capitalism in China.In the meantime,the Government, accordingly,drew up a number of policies and measures for economic development; as well as,make a large number of national debt to make up the huge fiscal deficit in order to maintain the normal operation of the state finance.In the nearly abnormal international and domestic background,a wave of banking sector rised in China.August 14 in four years,Zhou Xuexi applied to establish Industrial Bank of China,then received the approval of the President Yuan Shikai.After nearly 4 years of preparation,Industrial Bank of China was formally established in April 1919 in Tianjin.From the beginning of the preparations in 1915,the bank,after 37 years, turned to be a public-private enterprise in 1952.During this period,the bank experienced the scale development,from the small one to the large one,from weak to strong,and experienced the transference in business,from the special bank to commercial one,and the nature of the bank changed from being national capital to official-commercial and to joint public-private.Industrial Bank of China,as a modern leader of the Chinese Banks,experienced different shows in the whole process of its development,having a strong representation in all Chinese Banks. Therefore,it is of great significance to conduct a in-depth,systematic case study of it.In order to show the whole picture of the development of China's Industrial Bank(1919-1937 years) more clearly,this paper takes the Chronology and the logical relationship among the various parts into consideration in the thinking of the structure,thus,it can be divided into three parts:introduction,the body of the paper and the conclusion.The introduction introduces the current research of the Industrial Bank of China briefly,the author's preparations of the data for the paper as well as the practical significance of case studies.The body is divided into four chapters.Chapter one:the background and process of the establishment of China's Industrial Bank,focusing on the description of the background,the preparation and the important role Zhou Xuexi played during the establishment of China's Industrial Bank.Chapter two:the organization system of Industrial Bank of China and its multiple identities,emphsises on the description of the internal organization in the terms of the decision-making bodies and implementing agencies,and analysizing other status the bank owned,besides a special professional,combining with China's Industrial Bank's scope of business operations. Chapter three:the China's Industrial Bank's business.This chapter is the core and focus of this paper and focuses on the analysis of deposits,lending and distribution of the bank.ChapterⅣ:the development of China's Industrial Bank,emphasizes on discussing these aspects:the new business,the capital expansion,the increase in number of branches and so on,as well as researching the reasons of its development generally.The part of conclusion conducts an overview of Industrial Bank of China's development process,and proposes its guiding significance--"learning from history".This paper carries out a general picture of China Industrial Bank during the period of years of 1919 - 1937,which not only makes us have a clearer understanding and grasp of its development process,but also,help us conduct a more in-dept, detailed study to China's Industrial Bank and even China's financial history of modern China and palys the role of forward in the exploration of China's financial industry,especially the law of the development of banking sector.
