With the rapid development in financing of Chinese companies listed overseas both in number and scale, the investor relation management (IRM) requirement from market is on the rise. This paper briefly introduces the history and development status of IRM, as well as the trend in domestic and abroad. Based on the general analysis on IRM of Chinese companies listed overseas and a specific case of CASI, one of listed companies of China in the United States NASDAQ, this paper provides a generic model and a general programme of IRM for Chinese companies listed overseas.Investor relations are divided into two levels, regulatory investor relations and strategic investor relations. As the best investor relation management, the comprehensive IRM strategy under the guidance of the company's strategy, which can be categorized into three levels: the strategic level, the tactical level and the operational level. Based on the three levels of strategic IRM and a NASDAQ listed Chinese company - CASI's IRM practices, this paper comes up with an applicable general operation solution of investor relations management for companies listed overseas.From the perspective of listed companies, this paper mainly studies on relatively mature market environment, especially the most mature market, the United States, and analyze the IRM practices of overseas listed company. Given that current research on investor relations management of local listed companies is relatively abundant, the paper will only give a brief introduction of investor management for local listed company. Considering that Western developed market can be referred by China's capital market, and the demonstration effect of overseas listed companies for China's A-share market, this paper could play a constructive and proactive reference role for the investor relations management practices of Chinese companies listed overseas.
