Research About Analysis And Calculation Of Entropy Of Supply Chain

Theory of dissipative structure and entropy originated in thermodynamics, then studied by researchers and used in other areas,such as statistics,information theory. In recent years the theory began to be applied more and more to management,and achieved good results.This paper focuses on applying of this theory to the supply chain, providing new ideas for supply chain management decision-making.In the past,many researches of supply chain,are built on the basis of qualitative analysis,even some quantitative analysis is built on the basis of qualitative analysis, such as performance evaluation.This paper provides a new quantitative idea to supply chain performance evaluation,management structure analysis and operations researches.This paper includes the following aspects:the introduction of dissipative structure and the entropy theory,on the basis of analyzing the dissipative structure of supply chain,this paper explains how supply chain forms dissipative structures,as well as the existence of entropy;and then analyze the entropy flow of the supply chain and establish the model of entropy flow,make the qualitative analysis of supply chain entropy flow,find out the factors which influence the operation of supply chain,and make suggestions to management.This part could be combined with environment entropy;Finally,this paper analyze the value of entropy of supply chain,and divide the entropy of the supply chain into three categories,namely,structural entropy,operation entropy,environmental entropy,calculate the entropy of supply chain using quantitative analysis,and make suggestion based on this.This paper uses both qualitative and quantitative analysis methods,and focuses on quantitative analysis of the supply chain to calculate the entropy value of the supply chain,as accurate as possible.Of course,due to the complexity of the supply chain,it is not easy to do quantitative analysis,so the key and difficulty of this research is to find suitable cases and related data and simplify these data of the case.This paper finally arrives the expected goals,and achieves good results,which approves that the method is suitable for the study of supply chain management.In the paper,models and cases have been simplified,so it has some distance to the actual situation,but since the application of the method is approved to be suitable,it is worth doing a more in-depth research.This paper includes 10 charts,8 tables,42 references.
