China's transportation has been developing robust since the country's reform and opening,so does the highway cargo transport industry.As the market competition is becoming increasingly fiercer,the highway cargo transport is facing the great challenges from different transport methods including aviation and railways.As a Beijing-based midsized logistics company,Shuanglong Auto Cargo Co.experienced the declining business despite that the logistics market has been further expanded in recent years,leading to the shrinking market share and the weakened market competitiveness. As a result,the company is increasingly in an unfavorable position for competition.The Co.'s marketing effort was seriously behind the development of the whole cargo freight market.Therefore,it is necessary to fully strengthen the Co.'s marketing effort.A lot of materials and information was collected through interviews and workshops within the Co.and analyzes the relevant data.This paper consists of six chapters.The ChapterⅠexplains the actual sense of the topic and the research thoughts & framework of this paper;the ChapterⅡdescribes the overview on the modern marketing theories,basic theories of the transportation logistics and their key viewpoints;the ChapterⅢand ChapterⅡare on the in-depth analysis for the external and internal environments faced the Shuanglong Co.,and describes the SWOT analysis on the competition situations of the cargo freight market.Based on the research and the analysis on the first several chapters,the ChapterⅤdevelops the marketing strategies for Shuanglong Co.in terms of the marketing strategy,marketing channel,product composition,product pricing,promotion composition and VIP marketing.The ChapterⅥis the summary and deficiencies of this paper.
