A Research On The Peasant-workers' Living Condition In Urban Areas

With the urban areas continued development,more and more peasant-workers now live in the urban areas,so the problem of their living condition becomes gradually appearance.In July and August,2008,the writer had some investigations in the peasant-workers'living zones in Han-yang district in Wuhan,the result is that there are so many living ways existing of them,the main living ways of them are the areas of the suburb's urban villages and the old urban district's dangerous house,as well as the shanties along the rivers and the working unit's work shed.There are so many reasons to describe this fact:in the peasant-workers aspect;the first is that they are in low incomes,economy capability is weakness,the second is that they must consider their children's education issues,besides that the working convenience is their necessary consideration;in the urban aspect,the urban areas have a attitude that the peasant-workers can work for the contributions to the urban areas,but urban areas exclude the peasant-workers from the urban high quality living space and the urban housing security system,this cause the peasant-workers living in the bad environment and the living areas have few contact with the urban communities,the peasant-workers have few willing to stay the urban areas in a long time;in the rural areas aspect,low incomes from the agriculture work and the low compensation from the rural land's confiscation cause the peasant-workers difficult to get the better living space in the cities.The peasant-workers' living problem is one of the key problems in the urban harmonious development,if this problem do not deal with very well,this is not good for the urban harmonious development.As far as I am concerned,there have a close time and a further time to solve peasant-workers'living problem,the close time is the period that the working unit must improve the standard of the dormitory,the government must regulate the management of the housing-lease market,to reconstruct and deal with the urban villages properly;From the further view,the government must build the housing security system which must include the peasant-workers,to develop the peasant-workers Low-lease house,at the same time,The government must have a plan of the balance urban and rural development, first,to improve the compensation from the rural land's confiscation,second to include the peasant-workers who have lost their rural land in the housing security system.
