The Impact Of Personality Types, Task Characteristics On The Risk Decision-making Behavior

In our daily life ,people are are faced with a wide range of decision-making everywhere.and life is a continuous process of decision-making. As a type of decision-making,risk decision-making has become a hotspot and focus across many subjects.At frist of this study, we use the classic paradox's propose and interpret as a context to expound the development of the theory of decision-making.And then we clarified two charaeteristic factors influencing risk decision-making .One is characters of decision-making task and the other is individual factors.The character of decision-making task includes risk situation,task frame and probability level.the focus of our study want to explore the infiuences of personality types on decision-making behavior. in the framework of MBTI personality theory, using the combination of experimental method and the measurement method .The results of the research indieates that:(1) Personality as one of individual risk factors affect the decision-making.when we analysis the scores on the personality dimension and risk decision-making behavior. Different personality dimensions has a inconsistent impact on decision-making.Those who has a high scores on Sensing -iNtuition dimension tend to choose the conservative option.(2) Three task characteristics are all have main effect .in positive framework and, the test showed more preference on a conservatism; in negative framework, investment in a losses situation and mine explosion involving the issue of saving lives, the prefer of risk-taking get a very significant level. Probability levels and risk situations significantly influence risk decision-making in interactive effeet.(3) When we analysis the frequency of the personality dimension of different subjects in the risk-taking and conservative choice, the External-Internal dimensions,Sensing -iNtuition dimension and Thinking-Feeling dimension are all have a interactive effect with the framework. the External-Internal dimensions and Thinking-Feeling dimension have a interactive effect with framework and risk situations.
