The Study On Eco-tourism Development In Baishan City

The tourism of Baishan City, which is one of the most important industries in the city certainly influences the whole tourist industry in the northeast of China. Nowadays, with the development of economy, the tourism is also facing the great challenge. This thesis,which is on the basis of sustainable development theory,ecology,tourism,economics and system science,described the eco-tourism in Baishan City systematically. In this paper, the conception and the connotation of eco-tourism are given, the development actuality at home and abroad are studied,and the effects and developmental patterns of eco-tourism are analyzed. Also,depended on the reality of Baishan City, the principles of eco-tourism exploitation and the counter measures are expounded.This thesis could be divided into five chapters.Chapter one is the summary which fully introduced the basic conceptions and theories of eco-tourism development. The sustainable development of eco-tourism is also expounded.From the background of development, resources types, reserves abundance and crowding level, a comprehensive evaluation of the tourist recourses of Baishan City is presented in Chapter Two. As the study shows, the tourist recourses are sufficient in quantities and rich in types, and the number of tourism objects could reach to 2644, nearly 0.15 per square kilometer. In a word, Baishan City is famous for its natural and humanistic tourism resources.Chapter three presents a review of the developing process of tourism recourses in Baishan City. And then, the actuality and limitations of tourism exploitation are analyzed by SWOT analysis.Relying on the studies above, an overall idea of exploiting the eco-tourism resources of Baishan City was proposed. A blueprint is described from the aspects of basic principles, target locations, major products and spatial arrangement, namely under the principle of nature and protection etc, developing the resources at multilevel and constructing the pattern of "one center, two belts, six regions".Finally, chapter five provides the strategies and measures of exploiting eco-tourism resources of Baishan City from a macroscopic perspective.
