Study On Production Mode For Stone Enterprises In Nan'an City

With the rapid development of the construction industry in the world,demands for natural stone are growing in the international market.A professional development system has been formed in the Chinese stone industry.With an abundance of stone resources,China has become the most important country that products and exports productions of stone.The largest stone industrial base is located in Nan'an city in Fujian province,whose total amount of stone import and export ranks the first in the world.The stone industry in Nan'an city is able to achieve such enormous success due to its operations mode.According to the knowledge of strategic management and operations management,the operations mode of stone enterprises in Nan'an city and the successful experience of it are summarized and studied in this paper.Then,some existing problems are pointed out and measures are provided to solve them.Analysis of business strategy is made with SWOT Analysis.The author describes existing operations strategy,advantages and disadvantages of it,necessity for re-planning it and how to re-plan it.The next step is to elaborate the existing style of operation and management,and make an analysis of problems involved in it in terms of the new operations strategy.At last,the author comes up with the corrective actions and proposals for the problems.Stone industry gradually becomes larger.Because,with the existing style of operation and management,the stone enterprises achieve low operating cost and enhance competitive power.But that leads to unstable quality of products,the behavior of waste,etc.The author believes that establishing a scientific organization, replacing contract system of process steps by contract system of accessories,making uniform quality and technical standards,substituting win-through-quality strategy for low-cost competitive strategy and carrying out differently centralised strategy can strengthen and expand the stone industry in Nan'an city.The author hopes that this research can promote the continuous development of stone enterprises in Nan' an city...
