A Study On The Impact Of FDI On Fujian's Industrial Structure Adjustment

Since 30 years of reform and the opening up,the scale of foreign direct investment has been rapidly expanding and the quality and level of FDI have been significantly increased,which is presenting a good momentum of rapid growth.FDI has occupied an increasingly important position in the economic operation and development of Fujian Province.It not only brings capital,technology and management experience urgently needed during Fujian's economic construction, creates employment opportunities,increases financial revenue,but also promotes industrial restructuring and upgrading in Fujian.However,FDI inevitably has some negative influences on Fujian's industrial restructuring.The paper analyses the effect of FDI on Fujian's industrial structure adjustment with a large number of theories, data and models,and puts forward policy recommendations of settling negative impact,which have great practical significance on Fujian's absorbing more FDI, guiding foreign investment into the reasonable industry and accelerating rapid development of economy and society.The paper includes six chapters.Chapter one is introduction.Chapter two reviews the relevant theories and elaborates the role of FDI on industrial structure adjustment in host country from the investor and host country point of view.Chapter three combines a large amount of data and charts,analyses the overall situation of FDI, the evolution and current situation of industrial structure in Fujian Province.On this basis,the author analyses the industry distribution of FDI and the questions of existence in Fujian Province.Chapter four makes an empirical study of the adjustment impact on industrial structure for FDI,and finds out the long-term relationship between them.Chapter five mainly measures the deviation value of industrial structure adjustment caused by FDI,and makes a conclusion by modeling:as a result of structural tilt in industry distribution of FDI,it plays a positive role on secondary industry but inhibits the development of primary industry and tertiary industry,which expands the gap between secondary industry and tertiary industry.Chapter six, combining with the actual situation in Fujian,brings forward the corresponding policy on how further to use of FDI on adjustment and optimization of industrial structure.
