Recent years, the MICE industry is becoming the most popular industry because of its huge economic impact. In contrast with the rapid development of MICE industry, lack of human resources has seriously hampered it. And the conflict between the training of MICE talents and industrial development has become increasingly conspicuous due to the misunderstanding among industry, institutions and students which eventually led to the MICE talent "dislocation of supply and demand." Therefore, the establishment of a comprehensive system of MICE talent to train high quality industry staffs is one of the main issues now. The way to deal with it is to make a consistent understanding among the three mentioned above. Meanwhile, it need to train students based on reality and set up our owned training model based on foreign advanced experience. This paper first discussed the model of MICE talent training and explained relative concepts and definitions. Next, it explained the classification of training patterns and existed models in China and other countries which made a good path for further discussion. Then it demonstrated the status quo of Shanghai MICE industry and talent training, pointed the serious shortage of qualified staffs. At the same time, this paper did some research on the situation of school MICE courses and found that these courses can not satisfy the development of MICE industry; Next, on the basis of Chapter 2 and Chapter 3, combined the result of questionnaires from Reed Exhibition Company, this paper analyzed the difference between society requirements and institution education and found that the reason causing this is the misunderstanding between school and industry. Industry pays attention on skills but school focus on degree. Finally, this paper pointed the way to deal with this problem is to build a more practical training model which needs the contribution from government, industry, school and students. That means the government should use its power suitablely to build a good industry environment, and the industry itself needs assist school to provide internship opportunities to students. School should set up professional courses according to industry demand for effective training. Finally, students must build up an awareness of self-improvement in order to completely solve the "dislocation of supply and demand" problem.
