Japan, a small country in the Pacific, takes an important role in the stage of international politics and economy. From economic miracle during the 1960s and 1970s, Japanese management based on Japanese civilization begins to show its special success. Meanwhile, with the development of Chinese reformation and development , the intercourse in economy and trade between Japan and China is more and more frequency. At this background, this paper focuses on deep research Japanese management style base on Japanese culture, which has strong significance both on theory and reality.Since now, there are a lot of different theories on Japanese management without a general conclusion. For the most of these theories, they conclude that the reason of economic miracle is its culture. Obviously, it's too ambiguous and lack of enough theories and logic to support. In fact, it is the institutional factor that determines the organizational behavior. By using the research method of new institutionalism, the paper studies on the new analysis structure of Japanese management characteristics which are on the basis of its civilization. Creative points of this paper are as following.1. On the basis of Japanese civilization, the paper researches on the influences of Japanese management from the four views, which are political institution, economic institution, and society-cultural institution and outside affections, by using the research method of new institutionalism.2. The paper develops the glacier model as a new analysis tool. The model concludes the characteristics of Japanese management from the accumulated-snow-level, the frozen level and the water level.3. Based on the glacier model, the paper analyzes and concludes the case of Panasonic completely from all new angle of view.
