"Japanese management" is the one of traditional managements rooted in Japanese culture.The original Japanese management was to solve the labor shortages in the beginning of the 20th century,and it gradually developed to the management system of which the most representative and important features are Life-time employment system,the seniority system and the trade union system.After World War ?,Japan aroused the greatest attention in the world for its quick recovery from the War and turning into the world's second largest economy.Although there are many reasons for Japan's rapid growth,Japanese management received a lot of attention by many us and European researchers regarded as the main reason.And Japanese management theory soon spreads all over the world.With the popularity of Japanese management theory,the theory of Japanese corporate culture that regards Japanese collectivism and respect of harmony as the features of Japanese corporate culture is widely discussed and recognized by many scholars and researchers.Thus the conclusion that the characteristics of Japanese corporate culture are Japanese collectivism and the respect of harmony is formed.However,since 1990s,under the globalization and other background,Japanese management has changed a lot.This paper is in order to solve the questions whether the conclusion of Japanese corporate culture is still correct or not and is there any new features of Japanese corporate culture.The dissertation is divided into three sections.The first section is theoretical review,introducing the theory of Japanese management and Japanese corporate culture.In this part,the background of Japanese management and the characters of traditional Japanese corporate culture are also included.The second section argues that the main reason of changing is the changing of management model.From high unemployment and the change of employment structure,the conclusion that the Life-time employment system,the seniority system and the trade union system is fading out from Japanese management model can be made.The last section focuses on the change of Japanese corporate culture,including two trends:from collectivism to individualism;from the respect of harmony to the respect of competition.The principal conclusions are as follows:collectivism and other features of Japanese corporate is just the result of a specific era.Corporate culture will change with the change of the social environment.And not only the Japanese corporate culture but also the whole Japanese culture affected by the policy adjustments in the employment which needs to be addressed.
