An Exploratory Research On The Cluster Structure And The Enterprises Relationship In The Cluster

Cluster has become the important part of economic development of country and area. As there are different characters of industries, so there are different cluster structures. In the western world, scholars commonly classified three types of cluster structure for Italianism,satellite and axle style etc. State-owned enterprises have an important status in the China's economy and society, and have a widely effect on so many sides. Based on these specialties, this paper classified the cluster structures for the hard structure and soft structure, and confined the cluster with the dominant enterprises' character.This hard structure has several characters. The first one is that the social networks have not knots. From this view, we can see that the social networks are lost in a certain extent. The enterprises in the cluster can't catch enough useful information easily. The second one is that the inner part of the cluster is circled. It means as if some enterprises were in a circle; some others were in another circle. Enterprises which are in these two circles can't usually communicate with each other conveniently. As the time went by and the cluster developed, the view of circled cluster can slowly vanish.The soft structure has three characters. First, the formal and informal relation networks are superimposed. In the cluster which owns soft structure, the formal networks and informal are all well developed. Usually, one cluster which has soft structure has long history and humanities background. The enterprises can use these two kinds of networks to get useful information,communication and so on. Second, the relationships between these enterprises have much more corporation than competition. Third, the inner environment of cluster is very open. This paper puts forward a new conception of cluster atmosphere. Based on this cluster atmosphere, enterprises can communicate and understand each other clearly. The cluster with soft structure is a higher stage of cluster which was developing. But we still say that, the hard structure is an impassable part, especially to the China. This paper gives a case of petrochemical industrial cluster of Lanzhou. We found that state-owned enterprises (egg. CNPC LANZHOUCHEMICAL COMPANY) dominant the core circle of cluster, privately-owned enterprises was in the edge circle of cluster. Using this way classified the enterprise cluster of China. The cluster structure determines the enterprise relationships, and then the relationships of enterprise also affected cluster structure inversely. This paper has an analysis on the cluster structure and the enterprise relationships based on the different cluster structure.At last, this paper analyses the cluster structure and the enterprise relationship in the cluster which is dominant by the state enterprise. On the other side, this paper gives a way of future development of cluster and the establishment of policy.
