Along with the development of Chinese economy, people pay more attention to their living qualities. Living environment and electrical appliance of Chinese families have been improved greatly. It is obvious that kitchen is becoming a fundamental living center and culinary products are turning into important industrial products. However, the increasingly intense market competition requires corporations to make innovations courageously, understand customers' demands actively and promote users' satisfaction radically. It has already become the basic requirement for their future development.This thesis is based on the research of current culinary situation of Chinese urban family, combines with Chinese traditional dietetic culture, the developmental status quo of the industry and the characteristics of different family structures, adopts multiple practicable methods—including questionnaire, interview, field work and behavior image information collection, to explore the problems and deficiencies of frequently-used kitchen products as well as understand users' for future products. Then the thesis issues proposals for the improvement of current products and design directions of future development. The thesis also recommends the main culinary products design strategy for three different-structure families. At last, a set of products design is provided in detail.
