The automotive industry is developing very fast in china, value chain is extending ceaselessly, and at the same times the station of the auto service is more and more important in the automotive industry. As the epitome of the auto service, the automotive repairing plays a particularly important role and it has flourished in the last few years. It has been proved in developing countries that the services after the sales of the car is more and more important because the value chain between the production field to circulation field and thence to service field has been prolonged. The proportion of the automotive repairing make up 50 percent and the cars selling is only 10 percent by looking into the distribution of the net profit of global auto industries. The development of the automobile maintenance make sure the proper use of automobile in the area of the field production and consumption, it has made great contributions to economic development, at the same time it has created many employment opportunities. International experience shows that the maintain of volume of motor vehicles per capita increases with the increase in the national economy, the formation of society as soon as the car entered the home consumption will be proliferate in the different layers consumer groups. Based on the research of Zibo City auto repair market, in-depth analysis of the problems, on those bases put forward the policy recommendations for the development of the automotive repair industry and provides a reference to Zibo City and other small and medium-sized cities in our country.In this paper, first of all, expatiate on the research of the background of the vehicle maintenance trade, the meaning and methods of the service marketing theory, then give instructions for the theory of the industrial chain, the value chain theory and the theory of chain management and other related theories in the automotive repair industry, and last summarizes and synthesizes for the research on related literature. On this basis, do analysis of the current situation of the domestic and foreign auto repair industry, summer up the basic experiences of the automotive repair industry developed countries and give an analysis of our country's basic status quo and development trend of constraints of automotive repair industry. Based on the Zibo City automotive repair market survey, in-depth analysis the development environment, development of consumer satisfaction with repair service conditions, maintenance of the status of enterprises and other issues of the auto repair industry, summed up the Zibo vehicle maintenance problems in the market, and put forward policy recommendations on the five aspects such as strengthen industry macro-control, speeding up industry restructuring, professional training ,integrity construction, and upgrading the service.
