Rapid development of a new media industry has brought many changes, transformations and combinations of many kinds of industries which are based on the Internet, wireless networks, digital broadcasting and television networks. The concepts of cyberspace and open-ended community in the era of new media has greatly changed our concept of the world ,and are changing our modes of transmission of information as well as our ways of thinking and ways of life.The development of new media make the ways of marketing increase into diversified forms. More and more enterprises have begun to pay attention to and implement new media marketing. One of the purposes of this dissertation is to look for marketing theories from traditional marketing theories, which also can be applied to new media marketing ,so that new media marketing can be operated smoothly and with the greatest benefit.Distinctly different features between the era of traditional marketing and the era of new media marketing is that knowledge marketing will become more and more important. Furthermore, knowledge marketing has higher requirements for marketing staff, which requires the marketing staff to be highly qualified, highly educated, and deeply familiar with all aspects of their industry. They must be good at learning and using marketing theories and techniques; familiar with a variety of new media technologies and their own industry technology. Finally, they must have a higher sense of social responsibility, and make enterprise development and social development move in the same direction, so that the marketing will be successful.The development of the Internet in the era of new media makes the geographical partition of the market become indistinct. The whole world has potentially become one giant market. How to win a greater share in this market by defining target markets has become particularly important. Enterprises should do their best to do detailed segmentation of the market, and in the selected target markets provide better personalized services to consumers in order to achieve greater success.
