Study Of The Relationship Between Development Zones And Urban Spatial Evolvement

Coming with the era of economic globalization, the development zones in China act as a link platform surfing the tide of foreign capital flowing into China and promoting their local cities to join the international division system. The development zones in China have become the most dynamic growth areas, which generates economic benefits and became a major urban development way. Urban development zone act as the main form of industrial clustering, which play an important impact on the evolution of urban space .This article is divided into seven chapters. The first chapter analyses the background, research meaning of the paper, as well as the main content, methods and research framework.The second chapter analyses the related theories of development zone, including the concept,types and the power mechanism of development zone. On the basis of the related theories, the article propose three development stages and the necessary of urban functions improvement in the development zone.The third chapter is devoted to the evolution of urban space. The article study the way of the evolution of urban space and the power mechanism theory of evolution. And then, from the perspective of the evolution of urban space, the article study the issue of development zones, respectively, from the way of "economic power", "social power"and "policy power " .The fourth chapter study the relationship between spatial distribution of development zone and city. The paper sum up five spatial distribution types on the base of a large of cases of China's development zones. The paper also focuses on the three function models and summarizes five space models. Finally, the last part of the chapter analyses the impact on urban space from the different types and different stages of development zone.Chapter V discusses the planning countermeasure of development zone. First of all, the chapter point out the emergence of three question from the modal,functional and social point of view. Finally, the paper states corresponding planning countermeasures ,respectively, from the way of "economic power", "social power"and "policy power " .At last, the chapter analyses the planning countermeasure of the various types of development zone .On the case of Suzhou City, Chapter VI study the relationship between the development of Suzhou Industrial Park and the evolution of Suzhou urban space. At the same time, from the perspective of an empirical analysis ,Chapter VI discusses the effects of the Industrial Park on the shaping of urban space and also point out useful space planning countermeasures.
