The Evaluation Of Western Region Economic Openness And Study On Setting Up An Export-oriented Economic Development Model

Since the reform and opening up, China's economy has made rapid development, and after the 1990s, export-orientated economy developed rapidly, our open economy development, actively participate in international competition and international economic cooperation. Now opening has become China's economic transformation and the main successful experience. 12 western provinces and regions has of the land area of the country's 71.4%, and the population has country's 28.6%, but the level of economy development, especially in opening-up field far behind the eastern region, foreign trade, foreign investment share of GDP in the investment level is not high. Based on the western region's economic openness study, come to the summary conclusions, and papers has with a theoretical and practical significance.This paper based on the studies of the theory of openness, combinate the actual situation of the western region. From foreign trade, tourism openness, foreign investment openness, the production openness four aspects, measure the level of economic opening up in the western region. The results show that the western provinces and regions, have low difference between the degree of economic openness, but the difference compared with the level of the eastern part is large. And the papers analysis the reasons why the degree of economic openness degree is low, the reasons are regional differences, policies favoring, industrial Structure, and the low-level of urban and rural residents and enterprises to participate in market transactions. In the current form of the international financial crisis, the papers give some advice how to increase economic openness and the establishment of export-oriented model of development measures.
