Theoretical And Empirical Researches On Evaluation Of Chongqing

Industrialization is the only route to modernization of economy, as well as essential content and topic of development for Chongqing Municipality with dual economic structure. Traditional modes of industrialization are based on huge exhaustion of energy and resources and caused serious ecological damage and environmental pollution. Chongqing has a large population. resource per capita is neither enough to support the industrialization by traditional modes, nor enough to endure the serious problems caused by ecological damage and environmental pollution. Consequently, in such case different from the history, the connotation and realization route to industrialization should be different. In addition, it is a must to make innovation for the industrialization route to make complete reversal for rough economic growth and to solve some problems occurred in the development process, such as unbalanced development between urban and rural areas, unbalanced development among regions, disharmonious development in economy society, illogical industrial structure and excessive recourse exhaustion. Therefore, in the great background of science and technology innovation in 2006, Chongqing also promoted the development idea of being guided by science and technology innovation and following new industrialization route.Chongqing is the only municipal and new special economy region in Western China, it brings difficulties to sustainable and healthy industrialization development because of its outstanding dual economic structure and enormous discrepancy in regional industrialization process. However, it is also the reason that why so many specialists and researchers are attracted to make research on it. And under such background, the paper makes exploratory research on evaluation of new industrialization process in Chongqing.Based on summary of researches on new industrialization theories, the paper makes analysis and discussions on the process of new industrialization in chongqing. First of all, from the definition of new industrialization, it reveals the special meaning of the new industrialization in chongqing through comparable analysis methods between general and special situations, between reality and foresight. Also, it establishes new industrialization index system with UML and sentences power to index through factor analysis method and analytic hierarchy process. Finally, it establishes the evaluation model for new industrialization process. The paper selects relative data from 2001 to 2007 in Chongqing to make application research on assessment model of new industrialization process. The results show that Chongqing is in the middle stage of new industrialization currently and is to the direction of higher level. Based on the actual situation and through the research method combining the theoretical and empirical analysis, the paper sets comprehensive effect index scientifically which can illustrate the quality of chongqing economy development, based on which the current stage of new industrialization of chongqing is evaluated and a new scientific route accordant with chongqing actuality is supplied.
