Research On The Development Orientation And Countermeasures Of The Chinese Postal Savings Bank

China Postal Savings Bank Co., Ltd. (PSBC) was established by law in March 2007, which inherited the postal financial business and the assets and liabilities operated by the State Post Bureau and the China Post. Setting up the PSBC is to deepen reform of the financial system in our country as well as an important part of postal system reform. It has positive significance for promoting the development of China's postal services and better providing financial services for the community. Postal Savings Bank will continue to rely on the postal network, in accordance with the corporate governance structure and management requirements of commercial banks, and will continue to enrich the business variety, broaden the operating channels, improve service levels, and make further efforts to build communication between the urban and rural areas across the country's financial services network, and finally it will become into a capital adequacy, strict internal controlling, operating safety, competitive modern banking. After the establishment, the PSBC expands rapidly its business scope and operation scale. There are new opportunities and challenges to the PSBC by transiting from the quasi-financial institution to the commercial bank.With the postal financial institutions constantly adding and bank scale constantly expanding, the management system which post and bank as an unity has exposed many disadvantages. The single customer resources and lag business functions and other factors will hinder the PSBC's sustained and healthy development. This paper analyzes several foreign postal financial business models, such as Germany and France represented by the postal and financial combined operation business model and Netherlands represented by the postal and financial separated operation business model and Sweden represented by the postal exited from the financial operation business model; and comparatively analyzes the development of postal savings business models abroad. At the same time of learning from foreign experience in the development of postal savings , the paper combines with its own characteristics and designs the development ideas of our postal savings bank. At the same time, this paper uses SWOT analysis on China's postal savings bank to carry out the development of positioning analysis. By the contrast analyzing, this paper confirms the matching degree of the advantages and disadvantages of the PSBC's current specific resources and capabilities with the opportunities and threats of the external environment, as well as the PSBC's capabilities of dealing with and coping with the environmental change. This paper uses the enterprise's core competitiveness theory, the enterprise's competitive advantage related theory, the enterprise's strategic management theory and combines with the postal financial business development process of major countries in the world to analyze the development of positioning and find out the reasonable orientation, On this basis, the paper makes the countermeasures and suggestions of the development of China's postal savings bank.
