Managerial Research On Revenue Assurance Of Telecom Company A In A Province

With the rapid step of economic globalization, never-ending technical renovations and deregulation of the industry, competitions among telecom operators are increasingly intensifying. In a bid to respond market requirements promptly, telecom operators have to incessantly launch restructure and merger, optimize business processes and rules and upgrade infrastructure and supporting systems, while, complexity and flexibility of these businesses will augment telecom operator's risk in loss of income inevitably. At the same time, income slide of traditional business and diluting of overall profits, as a result of saturated markets and downward trend of ARPU, make telecom operators continuously realize the problem of income loss when broadening their market presence. Revenue assurance emerges timely and will become a new approach which telecom operators' executives will be willing to apply to slash income loss and boost profit margin.Based on managerial research on revenue assurance of telecom operator A, this article firstly introduces relevant basic theories on revenue assurance of telecom industry, including background of revenue assurance, organization mode for implementation, maturity level of revenue assurance, different phases, and implementation methods. Additionally, this article analyzes telecom operator A' status quo, covering current situation of income loss, contents and reasons, and analyzes existing problems from various angles, including process flow, explicit income loss, implicit loss, and potential income loss. Finally, on the base of methodology of revenue assurance and steps, ranging from analysis, diagnosis, prescription and implementation, the article proposes improvements from eight aspects, analyzes various data through numerous citations and comparisons, and analyzes and evaluate its effects on income increase with real cases as proof.The author has long been involved in the work of revenue assurance of a telecommunication company, and gained substantial achievements after one-year-long practice, which also enhanced the author's knowledge and understanding on theories of revenue assurance. The author hopes this article could invoke inspirations and reflections from management staff of telecommunication Industry on improving management skills and expediting development of revenue assurance.
