Schedule planning is the core of project management。Reasonable project schedule planning is the bases of projects' perform, tracking and control, and is the key of project. projects become more complex,systemic and integration. ask for shorter periods, less cost and must be finished on time, especially, for the modern project management, one project's delay may affect interrelated project on the supply chain, finally , waste a huge human, material and financial. So, the traditional project schedule management methods cannot fulfill these demands.This paper analyzes the traditional project schedule management disadvantages systematically and research the Critical Chain management, and suggests applying Critical Chain to do project schedule management, in order to compensate shortcomings of traditional schedule management and advance efficiency,stability and reliability of project schedule planning. Critical Chain is based on the TOC, and it in view of resource constrains and psychology factors into consideration, and makes use of buffering to control the project scheduling. This paper analyzing the Critical Chain's application in single-project schedule management, by using the Gantt to generate the project schedule based on the traditional PERT/CPM, and devices a new arithmetic method to obtain a reasonable feeding buffer capacity and project buffer capacity. These methods mentioned above resolve the concrete problems exist in the application of Critical Chain.This paper using an example of engineering to quantitative analysis, and analysis the Critical Chain Management in project schedule control model based on the theory of constraints in the practical application of the process. Because, the constrain of resource, to optimizing the scheduling, devising a buffer and improving the reliability of project schedule .In the end, compare with the traditional management methods (PERT/CPM). Finally, the results showed that the new scheduling method makes great improvement and Critical Chain is proved to be a more reliability and more stability project schedule management method than the traditional method.
