As the focus of tertiary industry, the healthy development of the tourism industry has a profound influence on promoting regional development and increasing employment. Recently, with the development of national economy, improvement of people's living standard and vacation time increasing, tourism has entered a rapid development stage, which also brings a rare opportunity for the development of tourism enterprises. While with the development of opening up the tourism industry as well as the global economy is facing a new development cycle, tourism enterprises will also face with unprecedented challenges. Therefore, how to grasp the opportunities, cope with challenges and strengthen the development of tourism enterprises become important topics. This paper studies on growth evaluation of the tourism listed companies, which are the"leader"in this industry, so as to analysis the growth status quo of tourism listed enterprises. And this has important meanings on studying the sustainable development of tourism enterprises.Firstly, this paper defines the concept and content of enterprise growth on the basis of literature review, sums up the growth evaluation system of existing enterprises and evaluation methods, and proposes the concept of growth evaluation of tourism listed companies. Secondly, this paper defines the concept of tourism listed companies and it's classification, and selects 18 tourism enterprises as samples. This paper puts forward an evaluation model of the growth of listed companies in tourism industry, applies it to the former samples based on data indicators of annual growth from 2005 to 2007, extracts four indexes of capabilities reflecting business growth targets.From this study, it is found that half of the tourism listed companies'growth scores are less than 0, which indicates that a considerable portion of the tourism listed companies'growth is not optimistic. Specifically, the growth of scenic spots category listed companies is the best, followed by general category, hotel category later, and the growth of different sub-sectors in tourism industry as well as different enterprises within the same sub-sector has a serious differentiation phenomenon. According to the results of empirical analysis, this paper makes a number of recommendations on enhancing the growth of tourism listed companies and the choice of investment strategy.
