Mechanism And Empirical Study On The Mutual Relations Between Agricultural S&T Advancement And Urbanization Based On HeBei Province

There are mutual relations between agricultural s&t advancement and urbanization. The agricultural s&t advancement is the long-term impact factor which makes the rural surplus labors increase, and promotes the population urbanization. In addition, the agricultural s&t advancement also promotes agricultural modernization process, and makes the material prerequisite for urban industries development and the rural urbanization. In turn, rapid urbanization can upgrade the level of the agricultural s&t research and development,the agricultural s&t promotion, the quality of agricultural workers and so on. So, the agricultural s&t advancement and urbanization should have the mutual relations, which is the necessary precondition for planning of urban and rural.The paper quantitatively calculates the agricultural s&t advancement and urbanization of Hebei province, and makes the Granger test. But, the agricultural s&t advancement and urbanization only have the one-way Granger causal relationship. Urbanization drives the agricultural s&t advancement, however, the agricultural s&t advancement does not promotes urbanization. This shows that there are many obstacles in the process of planning of urban and rural. For example, the rural labor capital is poor, the level of tertiary industry in city is low, and some illogical institutions also exist. In order to promote the coordinated development between urban and rural areas, the paper gives some targeted suggestions in the end.
