So thecompetitiveness of commercial banks is very important both theoretically andpractically. The competitiveness of commercial banks is also important in promotingthe development of China's banking industry. Using the theories of Commercial BankManagement and Administration, Money and Banking, and Industrial Economics, thisarticle research on the competitiveness of commercial banks with Factor Analysis.What's more, this article studied the case of Huaxia Bank carefully. The details of thepaper are as follows.Firstly, this article describes the research on the competitiveness of commercialbanks did by the scholars both in and out our country. The first part also describes theconcepts being used in this article, the background of the research, the main point ofthe article, the methods of the research and the technical routes.The second part of the article introduced the development situation of Chinesebanks and foreign banks in China. And finally points out the current development ofChinese bank's status and trends.The third part of the article established an index system to evaluate thecompetitiveness of our commercial banks, based on previous researches. Then, usingthe method of Factor Analysis, the article draws the competitive position of ourcommercial banks in the last three years. The third part also analyzes the results of theevaluation.Part four uses Huaxia Bank as a case. After studying the basic situation of HuaxiaBank, SWOT analysis and quantitative analysis, we try to find out the problems inHuaxia Bank. After the analysis in part four, part five try to find out the proper methods toimprove the competitive situation of Huaxia Bank.
