Research on the effect of Chinese traditional value from social psychology and organizational behavior angle, is the basic program which is needed to inherit and carry forward traditional value, and to realize transformation from value to economic and social development. This field is urgently in need of empirical studies. This paper aimed to probe the relationship between two kinds of harmony values from differentmotives——"harmony enhancement" and "disintegration avoidance", face value andconflict management styles——integrating, compromising, avoiding, obliging anddominating in comtemporary organizational situation in China; and analyzed the moderating effect of guanxi in the relationship between "disintegration avoidance", face value and oblilging, dominating styles, as well as the moderating effect of social efficacy in the relationship between "harmony enhancement" and integrating, compromising styles.First, the paper made a literature review on research status quo on domestic and overseas. Secondly, we proposed theoretical model and hypothesis from indigenous cultural psychology. Thirdly, data was collected by surveying 264 knowledge workers using questionnaires. The theoretical model and hypothesizes had been empirical analyzed. The main results were concluded as follows:1. The two-facor construction of harmony value proposed by Leung et al. is valid. "Harmony enhancement" has a positive effect on integrating and compromising styles; "disintegration avoidance" has a positive effect on avoiding, obliging and dominating styles.2. Face value has a positive effect on avoiding, obliging and dominating styles.3. Social self-efficacy has a moderating effect on the relationship between "harmony enhancement" and intergrating style. High social self-efficacy can inhance the relationship between "harmony enhancement" and intergrating styles.4. The personal-life inclusion factor of guanxi has a moderating effect on the relationship between "disintegration avoidance" and obliging style. Guanxi has a moderating effect on the relationship between "disintegration avoidance" and obliging style.The results have theoretical and pratical meanings, which will advance empirical research relating Chinese traditional value and organizational behavior. In addition, there is some disadvantages of the research, which call for future research.
