Research Of Xia Men Urban Agriculture Development

Urban agriculture, arising from the rapid development in the course of modern industrialization and urbanization, is the inevitable outcome of advanced stage the urban socio-economic development level reached. The development of urban agriculture indicates that modern agriculture has become the inherent requirement of modern urban civilization, which also reflects a new way of thinking to the epoch of agricultural development after the highly developing with urban economy. Since the 1990s, although the coastal developed regions took the lead in exploring agricultural theory and practice, urban agriculture in China is still be far away behind it in the developed countries. Therefore, timely summarizing the practice experience of the development of urban agriculture at home and abroad has important theoretical and practical significance to research Xia Men urban agriculture.This article has four parts. Firstly, with consulting the successful experience and practice from some regions at home and abroad, this paper expatiates the significance of developing urban agriculture, and puts forward constructive suggestions in the development trend of urban agriculture in China. Secondly, it focuses on the actuality and level of Xia Men urban agriculture development to analyze the superiority, weakness, opportunity and challenge in developing urban agriculture with SWOT analysis tool. Furthermore, through investigating and analyzing the agriculture market, under the precondition of recognizing the exploitation and operation situation of Xia Men urban agriculture, this thesis anatomize the factors which impact on developing, then points out the existing problems in the process of exploiting and analyzes reasons. Finally, according to the actual situation and investigation, this article presents several suggestions to develop urban agriculture, such as well planning the layout of urban agriculture, taking the industrialization road, improving the technological content of urban agriculture, coordinating eco-environment, implementing the sustainable development of urban agriculture, making use of policy advantages to promote the rapid development of urban agriculture. Focusing on all of this will create a favorable development circumstance and lead a suitable development route for Xia Men urban agriculture.
