Research On The Public Service Type In The Development Of Metropolitan Tourism In Shanghai

Metropolitan tourism is a trend of Chinese tourism industry. Being one of the pillar industries and the leading one of the service industries, Shanghai's tourism has made great contribution to the economy of Shanghai. In the process of rapid development of metropolitan tourism, a new power suddenly appears on the horizon, which is the public service of operational type of tourism. Therefore, it has great theoretical and practical significance for the research on the public service of operational type of tourism.With the sustained, rapid and sound development of society, the new situation requires the improvement of the function of the public service of operational type of tourism. The difference of industry quality between China and developed countries doesn't lie in the star a hotel has, or the development of traveling resources, but lie in the public service.Based on the comprehensive analysis of documents, the dissertation makes the frame of public service operation type. According to the clue of development history and resent situation, the dissertation investigates how the operation type rise and what is the importance of the operation type. Through summarizing operating mode, the dissertation accounts the inscape of Shanghai tourist center and industrial tourism developing center. This text is divided into four parts.Chapter one introduced the studying background, the significance of the study, domestic and international relevant research of this text. Chapter two is the theoretical foundation of the research. It mainly expatiates on the theories which are correlative with operational type, public administration, public service. On the basis of this, it defines the operation type of public service.Chapter three is the research on the relation between metropolitan tourism and operational type of public service. It not only expatiates on the stage of Shanghai's metropolitan tourism,but also expatiates the contribution which is made by operational type of public service.Chapter four and chapter five are the core of this paper and key of research. Chapter four is discussing the three kinds of mode:government mode, market mode, and volunteer mode. Chapter five analyzed the essential factors of the operational type of public service. Management mode, profit mode, and service mode consist Shanghai tourist center. Management mode, profit mode, and governance mechanism consist industrial tourism developing center.Chapter six is the conclusion. This chapter summarizes the conclusions reached in the research and proposes some issues need further study.
