Research On Driven Mechanism Of The Development Of Metropolitan Tourism

Metropolitan tourism is the a trend of China's tourism industry. In the main cities of China, metropolitan tourism is rapidly rising. It exists a close relationship between the rapid rise of metropolitan tourism and government which is showing a strong control forces in the process. Therefore, it has great theoretical and practical significance for the research on the driven mechanism of metropolitan tourism from the perspective of government.Based on the comprehensive analysis of the research on the urban tourism driven mechanism and the research on government's roles during the tourism development, this text studies the driven mechanism for government in the development of metropolitan tourism from the perspective of the urban tourism development theory, the tourism destination life cycle theory and the supply and demand theory. It proves the essentiality of government's intervention in the metropolitan tourism, then reveals the roles of government in the development of metropolitan tourism from the analysis of Shanghai's tourism policy, and establishes the government driven system of metropolitan tourism as well as discusses the function of the system. Finally, the text does a empirical research on the government's driven mechanism in the example of Shanghai.This text is divided into five chapters.Chapter one is the introduction. It mainly expatiates on the studying background, the significance of the study, domestic and international relevant research ,the method and framework of this text.Chapter tow is the theoretical foundation of the research. It mainly expatiates on the theories which are correlative with the driven mechanism of metropolitan tourism, such as the urban tourism development theory, the tourism destination life cycle theory as well as the supply and demand theory, etc.Chapter three is the research on the government roles and the development of metropolitan tourism. It mainly expatiates on the essentiality of the government's intervention in the metropolitan tourism and the roles of government in the development of metropolitan tourism from the analysis of Shanghai's tourism policy. Then it expatiates on the government drive for metropolitan tourism from three main lines ,which are supply drive, demand drive and supply-demand drive. On the basis of this, it establishes the government driven system of metropolitan tourism and then discusses the function of it.Chapter four is the research on the driven mechanism of Shanghai's metropolitan tourism. It mainly analyses the development course of Shanghai's metropolitan tourism, the change of tourism management, and then expatiates on the demand drive, the supply drive and the demand-supply drive of Shanghai's metropolitan tourism. Finally, it expatiates on the stage of Shanghai's metropolitan tourism and the change of the government functions.Chapter five is the conclusion. This chapter summarizes the conclusions reached in the research and proposes some issues needed further study.
