| With the problem of environmental pollution becoming more and more serious, people start to strengthen environmental protection awareness.All countries consider environmental regulation as an important one. They consider how to promote economic growth while controlling pollution. Recently, China also has claimed that it should make economy development fast and sensible based on optimized structure, increased performance and environmental protection.Jiangsu is a great province in economic development of China. Its industrial economic growth is the main support for economic growth of Jiangsu. However, industrial pollution becomes the focus of environmental regulation of Jiangsu. In recent years, study on productivity increasing becomes the core of economic growth research. Therefore, this paper tries to research the influence of environmental regulation on industrial productivity in order to evaluate whether the environmental regulation of Jiangsu has achieved both environmental protection and economic growth promotion.Firstly, this paper will describe the general situation of industrial output growth of Jiangsu based on total value and partial factor productivity. Secondly,based on efficiency and productivity theory, meanwhile using panel data of Jiangsu, the paper will use non-parametric Malmquist Productivity Index to measure industrial productivity (including technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency) as well as total factor productivity change index and its two decomposition index (technical efficiency change index and technical change index).Then the paper could analyze thoroughly industrial economic growth and the reason of industrial productivity change.Finally, the paper will use fixed effects model to research the influence of environmental regulation on industrial productivity. So that the paper could give policy suggestions on environmental regulation and industrial economic growth combined with the main conclusions of the paper. |
