In times of globalization, the situation that enterprise must deal with varies rapidly, accompanied by fierce competition. Under circumstances, the theory of strategic management was introduced. The theory of strategic management must adjust itself endlessly according to the change that it must encounter. Therefore, we must take into account the factors of method, target, opponent, circumstance, venture when we design the theory of strategic management. The paper is based on the research of a port enterprise in china. In early twenty centuries, there is a successful strategic model in the enterprise. However, the old strategic model cannot keep up with the development of the circumstances. Under an analysis of business model, environment of competition, the condition of resources, external chances and threat faced by the port, the paper put forward the strategic selection and positioning of the port.By researching the external environment and the internal resources,we can draw up that the differentiation strategy and diversification strategy is the strategic choic of port A.
