Confronted with the increasingly severe challenges of the new environment characterized of economic globalization of the world market and the individualization of the customers' demand, how enterprises, on the basis of scientific selection and evaluation, find and help grow their strategic suppliers based on strategic cooperation, so as to improve their core power and gain advantages in the competition? So, in terms of the whole supply chain, the uncertainty in manufacture is reduced.In order to establish strategic partnership with suppliers, companies should establish network operating model and corresponding managerial information system. The core company should make the scattered plans parts of the whole plan of supply chain, resource and information shared and strengthen the whole advantage of supply chain in market. What's more, the company should pay attention to fusion of culture. Finally, in order to make the ally keep competitiveness, the company should do necessary check, stimulation and control.In this paper is illustrated the fundamental concepts and theories of supply chain management, is analyzed to-depth the changes in the relationship between suppliers and manufacturers under the condition of the supply chain management, with the emphasis laid on the necessity of the strategic cooperation relationship between themselves and the strategic suppliers. The paper focuses its systematic discussion on the selection and evaluation of strategic suppliers, presents the models for the selection and evaluation of different strategic suppliers, followed by a discussion on the concrete implementation procedures. The paper gives a verification study with Zhongji Group. as an example, provides an analysis on its current practice in supply management against the problems they have, and proposals for improvement in light of the analysis.This paper lies in the study of the determination and nurturing of strategic suppliers from the view point of strategic cooperation based on the existing concrete problems in the practical models constructed for the selection and evaluation of strategic suppliers, and in the introduction of the important factors reflecting the cooperation effect and cooperation status.
