With the rapid development of world economy, science and technology, people's standard of living and quality of life is ever-changing. Product is indispensable in people's lives, and then the competition between product manufacturers has become increasingly fierce. Competition among enterprises from price to quality and then to today's design competition, the importance of product design has become increasingly prominent. However, the traditional product designers tend to focus only on aesthetics, functionality and other features, with little regard to logistic performance and the cost of logistic, in fact, the product design needs to consider many design factors, not only the cost of the product, price, function, modeling ability to attract consumers, to generate their own market, logistics factors should also be taken into consideration in the product design stage.This paper firstly introduces the basic concept of product design and the generally product design process, and expatiates the important impact fro product design to logistics costs, from the raw materials, component design, shape size design, packaging design, the overall design of the product design and other aspects. Then the article describes the traditional method of product design, where the market-oriented, the cost oriented, appearance, assembly manufacturing, and other aspects were considered, but the traditional design methods do not fully take into account the impact of logistics factors, overlooked the importance of logistics cost; product design based on logistic concept, this paper analysis from the whole logistics process, systematically summarized for the logistics process, for reverse logistics and green design, and indicate the detailed design method. Finally, the paper established the 0-1 goal programming model to choose the best design solutions from others, (the model for product design in the following options:Firstly, the product has the irreplaceable raw materials to select; Secondly, the shape of the product is easy to change and demolish; the product is easy to transport; not the disposable products; where the product design has great relationship with logistic cost.), and combined with IKEA Nick chair design, an example is solved using WINQSB software to select the optimal design. I hope that the 0-1 goal programming model in this paper could provide some reference value, when company is choosing the best design solution from others.
