Urbanization, Industrialization and Urban-Rural gap are of important indicators to measure the economic development of a country or region. They have a great impact on economic development. There are close relationships among them. Urbanization and Industrialization promote mutually. However, along with the promotion of urbanization and industrialization and gradually widening of urban-rural gap, the economic and social development has been seriously affected. In this paper, we use non-parametric additive model to study the following three questions. The first one is the relationship of urbanization, industrialization, urban-rural income gap between GDP. The second one is the interaction among Urbanization, Industrialization and Urban-Rural income gap. The last one is the estimation of future urbanization. This paper is divided into seven chapters. The first chapter is introduction, which outlines research background of this paper, reviews and collects relevant literature, describes the study method and research significance. Besides, the structure, difficulties and some possible innovations are also presented in this chapter. The second chapter describes the definition and estimation method of the non-parametric additive model. Specifically, methods of Smoother matrix construction and bandwidth selection are introduced. Preliminary which will be used in empirical study, such as indicators selection, sample processing, data source and the feature of non-parametric additive model, are presented in the third chapter. The fourth chapter, the fifth chapter and the sixth chapter adopt non-parametric additive model to study the relationship of urbanization, industrialization and urban-rural gap between economic development, the interaction cf urbanization, industrialization and urban-rural income gap, and the estimation of future urbanization, respectively. According to the results above, the last chapter gives relevant conclusion, combines with specific circumstance which currently existing in various regions, then give some relative policy suggestions. We get the following conclusions in this paper.First, Urbanization plays a catalytic role in China's economic development, it will be able to decrease urban-rural income gap. However, according to current urban development trend, the growth rate of China's urbanization will be slower. Second, the industrialization can promote China's economic development, to some regions of industrialization above 0.5, with the rapid development of tertiary industry, the tertiary industry accounts for a greater proportion, providing more employment opportunities for unemployed people, to improve the development of urbanization; To some regions which urbanization below 0.7, urban-rural income gap above 2.5, and industrialization below 0.5, we should further increase the efforts in the development of industrialization, to promote the development of urbanization, and then vigorously develop the tertiary industry, coordinating the two together, to improve China's economic development.Third, when the urban-rural gap below 2.5, urban-rural income gap is a normal gap, it will bring mobility by factors between urban and rural, promote the common development of urban and rural economy, but when urban-rural income gap above 2.5, urban-rural gap is too high, it will be a serious impediment to China's economic development, China should take active measures to decrease urban-rural income gap, to control it within the normal gap.
