Research On The Development Of SDR-Based On Economic Prospect

As the financial crisis break out frequently recent years, especially after the outbreak of the current subprime mortgage crisis, not only developed countries take a great loss, but developing countries also bear a lot of direct or indirect losses. The current international monetary system as a foundation of global economic operation causes of the current crisis, also causes the global currency crisis, financial crisis, economic crisis recent years. After the crisis, almost all the countries in the world have raised the urgent reform of the international monetary system. The reform of the international monetary system is increasingly becoming international politics, economic debate.All countries and organizations have the different solution of the currency system.Among them, the solution which reform the international monetary system and committed to expand the function of Special Drawing Rights (SDR) has again became the world's hot spots and some official will. But the United States as a vested interest state in the reform is the natural obstacle of the reform.In a sense, the increased severity of the crisis is promoting the international monetary system reform. These proposals and ideas which can become a reality in the near future, which will be put on hold, on the one hand depends on the objective needs of the world economy, other subjected on the economic powers.This paper mainly concerned with the perspective of currency of economics, also concerned with politics in some degree. It first introduced the theory of international monetary co-operation, and then introduced the history and development status of Special Drawing Rights, and the hinder factors of SDR development were analyzed, also made a conclusion and extension on the SDR program. At last it draw on the experience of the European Currency Unit and researched the feasibility of the SDR development path, derived that SDR as a parallel currency in reality may be reality. Finally, the papre gave the feasible policy proposals to China currently.
